For over 100 years, Baudouin has designed and manufactured the highest quality diesel engines for marine and power generation applications globally
Baudouin 63kW Diesel Engine
The Baudouin 4M10G70/5 represents a significant step up in structural design, utilising a 4.087-litre vertical inline configuration with an expansive 105mm x 118mm bore and stroke profile. Operating on a 17.5:1 compression ratio, the rigid cast-iron engine block is heavily ribbed to suppress physical structural deflection under heavy loading conditions. The cross-flow overhead architecture accommodates a highly efficient intake system that maximises volumetric efficiency while preventing the concentrated thermal hotspots common in smaller, overworked engine designs.
Industrial Power Architecture & Reliability
This robust 4.1L block leverages premium metallurgy and tier-one internal balancing components to ensure continuous service availability during prolonged outages. By shifting to a larger displacement matrix, the engine reduces stress on internal moving components, extending mean time between overhauls (MTBO). The simplified overall layout minimises external pipework, lowering maintenance friction for local technicians and safeguarding operation in unventilated or high-dust environments.
Baudouin 63kWm Engine Technical Features
Deep-Sump Lubrication Architecture: Features a high-capacity system holding up to 14 Litres of oil, drastically extending service intervals and offering superior internal cooling properties under full thermal load.
Unmatched Cold-Start Velocity: Advanced cylinder geometry allows immediate, unassisted starting down to minus 15°C, expanding down to minus 25°C with a water jacket heater for absolute operational readiness in extreme winter climates.
High-Output Charging System: Equipped with a standard 3.8 kW starter motor and an upgraded 80 Amp battery-charging alternator, ensuring rapid voltage recovery for automated standby panels.
Rigid Class G3 Governing: Controlled via an ultra-precise electronic governor meeting ISO 8528-5 Class G3 standards, restricting steady-state frequency variations to 0.5% or less for sensitive electronic networks.
Tropicalized Cooling Capacity: Integrated with a heavy-duty mechanical radiator and a belt-driven pusher fan absorbing 1.5 kW, rated to maintain optimal heat dissipation up to 50°C ambient temperatures.
