For over 100 years, Baudouin has designed and manufactured the highest quality diesel engines for marine and power generation applications globally
Baudouin 100kW Diesel Engine
The Baudouin 4M10G110/5 represents the pinnacle of thermodynamic development within this displacement range, utilising a vertical inline four-cylinder architecture with a 105mm x 118mm bore and stroke profile. By incorporating an air-to-air aftercooling loop, this model lowers the intake air temperature before it enters the combustion chamber, significantly increasing air density. Operating on a 17.5:1 compression ratio, this heavy-duty cast-iron block features dry-liner cylinder tracks and a high-strength 8-valve cylinder head structure meticulously engineered to handle an aggressive 19.6 Bar BMEP (Brake Mean Effective Pressure) threshold under full standby loads.
Industrial Power Architecture & Reliability
This robust structural framework isolates extreme torsional loads directly across the main bearing journals, drastically reducing structural vibration and maximising component lifespans during extended utility failures. The cross-flow overhead layout facilitates rapid volumetric air exchange and cooler internal running profiles, ensuring absolute reliability under heavy cyclical demands. By blending high power output with a simplified mechanical layout, it provides generator builders with an elite footprint-to-power ratio that speeds up routine service field access.
