Baudouin 80kW Diesel Engine
The Baudouin 4M10G88/5 utilizes a high-strength, heavily ribbed cast-iron block design configured in a vertical inline four-cylinder layout. Possessing an identical 105mm x 118mm bore and stroke matrix to its smaller sibling, this specific model achieves its elevated 80kWm maximum standby rating through optimised fueling profiles and aggressive turbocharger matching. The block features high-grade dry-liner cylinder liners and an 8-valve cylinder head construction engineered to endure extreme internal thermal pressures without structural deflection.
Industrial Power Architecture & Reliability
This industrial platform isolates extreme loading stresses across the crankshaft assembly, making it exceptionally reliable during extended regional utility outages. The cross-flow overhead architecture promotes cooler air intake paths and efficient exhaust gas scavenging, eliminating the risk of localised cylinder warping. By maximising the power output from a compact 4.1L frame, this engine offers generator packagers an elite power-to-weight ratio while maintaining a simplified mechanical layout that speeds up routine service access.

Enhanced Power Density: Delivers up to 80kWm of standby muscle from a highly efficient 4.1L displacement frame, optimising canopy footprint size for compact soundproof enclosures.
Premium Electrical Architecture: Features a 12Vdc ground system equipped with an oversized 80 Amp charging alternator and a 3.8 kW heavy-duty starter motor for immediate automated grid transfers.
Advanced Ambient Cooling Margin: The mechanical cooling package features a high-velocity pusher fan consuming 1.5 kW, specifically rated to prevent thermal safety derating in ambient temperatures reaching 50°C.
Rigid Engine Block Sump: The high-capacity lubrication oil channels hold up to 14 Litres of oil, helping to dissipate internal engine heat while lowering maintenance frequency.
Severe Cold Weather Readiness: Engineered with advanced direct injection geometry to secure instantaneous, unassisted cold starting down to minus 15°C, and down to minus 25°C using an optional water jacket heater.
